5 POW WOW PITCH SEMI-FINALISTS IN NEW BRUNSWICK

Five Indigenous entrepreneurs in the New Brunswick region announced as semi-finalists in the 2022 Pow Wow Pitch competition. These semifinalists operate across five categories including Food and Drink, Fashion and Apparel, Knowledge Workshops and Storytelling, and Skilled Trades; representing the breadth of Indigenous business in our territory.

Jenna White, Jenna’s Nut-Free Dessertery Inc of Metis Nation of Ontario living in Fredericton.

Talon Simon, Rez Famous Brand of Elsipogtog First Nation.

Catherine Baxter, Chic Image Consulting of Elsipogtog First Nation

Jordan Genova, EastCoast Customz Services of Metepenagiag Mi’kmaq Nation.

ABOUT THE PITCH

Pow Wow Pitch is a competition for Indigenous entrepreneurs across Turtle Island to shine the spotlight on pow wow vendors, artists, business builders and innovators from all backgrounds and industries, whether just starting or looking to grow to the next level.

This year, semi-finalists were selected from a pool of 2,500 Indigenous entrepreneurs who made a one minute pitch about their businesses online or in person for a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $100 to $25,000, with a total of $200,000 in cash prizes to give away!
